The swimming fish are projected while your cat's behavior is observed. As your cat approaches the fish they will scatter and hide under the magic scratcher.
Overtime the magic scratcher needs to be replaced to ensure fish have a good hiding spot. If it's time to replace the magic scratcher the fish will still flee, but they may not hide until the magic scratcher is replaced.
